Birthdays are a time to celebrate, but for Fr. Sy Nguyen, pastor at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orange, it has also become moments of profound purpose. One moment led him to say "yes" to God's call to the seminary. The other, more recently, inspired him to create a gift that will bless others for generations to come.

His passion for Santa Margarita Catholic High School football was unmatched. Bradley “Brad” Dillahunty played with heart and led with kindness. After the wildfires swept through Los Angeles County in January 2025, many looked to the Catholic Church as a beacon of hope. With guidance from their parish, more than 500 families and individuals received over $1.2 million in aid from the Help LA Fund, created and managed by OCF. Among them, the Perez family shared, “Because of you, we didn’t have to start from the bottom.”
