Through your generosity parishes thrive, Catholic school tuition remains affordable, seminarians receive crucial financial assistance, and Diocesan ministries provide services that would otherwise not be possible. We invite you to explore the following lists of funds to discover how you can make a difference in our Diocese of Orange by supporting one of our existing funds or establishing your own fund at the Orange Catholic Foundation.


School & Parish Endowment Funds

Endowment Funds are permanent funds that are invested for long term growth while providing a steady stream of income to the fund beneficiary for operations, programming or other organizational needs.




Scholarship & Designated Funds

Scholarship Funds are endowed or non-endowed funds that are invested either for long or short term. Scholarship Funds may be established to provide an educational scholarship for a specific interest. Scholarships can support any level of education, and may be directed toward students who are graduates of a particular grade or high school, students planning to attend a particular secondary or post-secondary school, students in a particular field, or students from a certain geographical area, etc.

Designated Funds or Other Funds are non-endowed funds invested for short term growth that have a specific purpose and plan for funds to be granted following donor intent. Designated Funds provide maximum assurance a fund will remain timely and relevant for the purpose the funds were raised.




Special Interests Funds

Special Interest Funds are non-endowed funds that are invested for long term growth while providing a steady stream of income to the fund beneficiary for operations, programming or other organizational needs. These funds are non-endowed and may be granted in accordance with the fund agreement terms.




Ministry, Organizations, & Named Endowment Funds

Endowment Funds are permanent funds that are invested for long term growth while providing a steady stream of income to the fund beneficiary for operations, programming or other organizational needs.




Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds are endowed or non-endowed funds and invested either for long or short term. A Donor Advised Fund provides maximum flexibility for grant making, allowing the designated donor advisor an active role to make recommendations regarding grants from the fund.
