After the wildfires swept through Los Angeles County in January 2025, many looked to the Catholic Church as a beacon of hope. With guidance from their parish, more than 500 families and individuals received over $1.2 million in aid from the Help LA Fund, created and managed by OCF. Among them, the Perez family shared, “Because of you, we didn’t have to start from the bottom.”

Now, every event or special gathering held within the walls of the newly renamed Richard H. Pickup Cultural Center will become part of his philanthropic legacy.
