The Orange Catholic Foundation (OCF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation and an autonomous pious foundation that exists to serve the Diocese of Orange, including its parishes, schools and overall diocesan mission. The OCF plans and conducts major diocesan fundraising programs including the Proud to be Catholic Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA), the For Christ Forever Capital Campaign, the Conference on Business & Ethics, the annual Wills and Trusts Weeks and other special fundraising events. The Foundation also manages endowments and various charitable funds and grants funds according to the donor’s intent.

Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Orange Catholic Foundation strives to become a premier, nationally-recognized steward of Catholic philanthropy in carrying out Christ’s work to sustain and enhance all aspects of Catholic life for the entire community in the Diocese of Orange.

We are an autonomous, pious foundation that works in collaboration with members of our Diocese of Orange to raise, manage, grow and grant funds supporting all aspects of the Catholic faith following each donor’s intent.

Investments entrusted to The Orange Catholic Foundation (OCF) are administered through socially and morally responsible funds that are in keeping with the tenants of Roman Catholic doctrine. The OCF’s banking and financial partners are known for their fiscally conservative approach and socially responsible philosophies to ensure that OCF investments are managed in accordance with our Catholic faith and beliefs. For more information please see USCCB’s Socially Responsible Guidelines.

The Investment Committee of the OCF meets quarterly to review the historical and current performance of all funds and compares them to industry standards. The committee chooses the types of investments they deem prudent and socially responsible. They are committed to earning the best possible returns with low risks in order to protect and grow donors’ gifts.

The OCF Investment Committee is a made up of experienced and knowledgeable business and community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to grow the foundation’s assets for the benefit of the Church of Orange. For more information about OCF’s investments, fund strategy and committee members, please contact the Orange Catholic Foundation.

On an annual basis, the total amount of funds available to grant is determined and reported to the Grants Committees of the OCF and approved by the Board of Directors. The Committees then coordinate the marketing and collecting of grant applications from parishes and schools and discerns the distribution of funds for awarding grants. In 2015, the OCF granted $28,157,125 to the following beneficiaries:
